Affairs, Stephanie Jacobson coordinates the development and implementation of programs
and policies in academic and student affairs. Working with the chief academic officers at
the universities to provide support for the Board's Programs Committee,
Stephanie reviews all
academic program and organizational unit changes, and assists in interpreting Board
related academic policies and procedures. She also provides staff support for academic and
student matters relating to public schools and community colleges, directs the federal
Improving Teacher Quality Program, and oversees the institutional
analysis and strategic planning staff functions of the central office. |

B.S. 602/229-2560 maryn.boess@azregents.edu As Grants Manager, Maryn Boess works closely with the Arizona Department of Education, Sponsored Research professionals, faculty at the state universities, and a Board of Regents grants advisory committee to provide oversight, leadership and management for three grant programs, approximating $2.0 million, which are administered by the Arizona Board of Regents central office. The grant programs include one federally funded program: Improving Teacher Quality (ITQ) in the K-12 system and two programs funded through the Arizona Board of Regents: Learner Centered Education (LCE) for improving teaching and learning outcomes in the universities and the Arizona Regents Reach-Out (ARRO) grant program for advanced electronically delivered education. |

She coordinates meetings and conference calls for Academic and Student Affairs staff with their university counterparts, processes correspondence, and establishes and maintains files. J.J. also assists with materials for the Chief Academic Officers group and the Boards Programs Committee and provides support services to other areas of the central office, including Strategic Planning, Institutional Analysis and Business and Finance. |

602/229-2561 Kate Linder, Administrative Assistant, provides administrative support to the Grants Program Manager in the Academic and Student Affairs area, as well as the Assistant Executive Director for Strategic Planning. Kate assists with grants administration including RFP development, grant awards, fund distribution, monitoring and various grant analysis for the Arizona Regents Reach-Out (ARRO), Improving Teacher Quality (ITQ), and Learner-Centered Education (LCE) grant programs. She also coordinates meetings and conference calls for the Program Manager and Assistant Executive Director with their university counterparts; assists with materials for the Board’s Strategic Planning and IT/AZUN Committees by preparing minutes, agenda, or correspondence; maintains calendars; arranges travel and itineraries; compiles data for reports and establishes and maintains automated, SharePoint and manual files. |
