Excerpts from Employee of the Year Award nomination letters

Kate's supervisor's nomination letter was supported by other supervisory personnel and a second nomination by business management staff who all describe her as "a quiet leader who leads by example...a team player who gets along well with both internal and external colleagues."  Kate has taken on additional responsibilities in the area of accounts payable processing, as well as her regular duties of managing three separate grant programs, one of which received a commendation from the U.S. Department of Education for its 180 degree turnaround over its 2005 monitoring visit for its outreach, accountability and internal management.  Kate exemplifies the qualities basic to this award as a reliable, dependable, and valuable employee of the central office.
