Funded 2009 ARRO Grant Projects

The Arizona Board of Regents is pleased to announce the fourth annual round of funding through the Arizona Regents Reach Out (ARRO) grant program.

The focus of the ARRO program is to support the development of innovative faculty-initiated, university-based distance-learning projects, with an emphasis on those that are collaborative; that support workforce development; and that are transferable, portable, shareable, and scalable.

For the 2009 ARRO grant round, the Regents Technology Oversight Committee especially encourages projects that support the Governor’s P-20 Council interest in increasing production of K-12 teachers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields, and ensuring effective preparation and certification of these teachers.

2009 ARRO grants will provide awards of up to $50,000 for single-university projects and up to $100,000 for collaborative multi-university projects.  A total of $200,000 is available for 2009 awards.

Proposals are due October 6, 2008. Project funding begins January 5, 2009, and ends June 30, 2010. Click here [PDF] [Word] for a downloaded Request for Proposals (RFP), including complete guidelines and application materials.
