NAU search committee narrows field to three

Three candidates have been forwarded to the Arizona Board of Regents as finalists for the NAU presidency. "The search committee has successfully completed its work," said Regent Kay McKay, who chaired the committee. "With three exceptional candidates, the Board is assured an outstanding president for NAU." 

The finalists are:

• Dr. Owen F. Cargol, President, University of Maine at Augusta
     
• Dr. John D. Haeger, Provost and Vice President for Academic and Student Affairs, Northern Arizona University
     
• Dr. Denise M. Trauth, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, University of North Carolina at Charlotte

Finalists will visit the NAU campus during the week of May 14 and meet with campus and community representatives in a series of meetings and forums. A schedule of those meetings and forums is attached.

Campus visits will be followed by interviews with the Board of Regents on May 24. A final decision is expected by the Board shortly thereafter.
