Minutes of a SPECIAL BOARD Meeting

November 21, 2006

A special meeting of the Arizona Board of Regents was held November 21, 2006, at the Arizona Board of Regents Central Office. President Bulla called the meeting to order at 1:38 p.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 2006.

Present in person or by telephone were:	Regent Fred Boice Regent Robert Bulla Regent Ernest Calderón Regent Dennis DeConcini Regent Fred DuVal Regent Edward Hermes Regent Anne Mariucci Regent Christina Palacios Regent Gary Stuart Regent Mary Venezia
Absent:	Governor Janet Napolitano Superintendent Tom Horne

Also present were President John Haeger and Mr. Mark Neumayr from Northern Arizona University; President Robert Shelton and Mr. David Nix from University of Arizona; Christine Wilkinson and Mr. Paul Ward from Arizona State University; Executive Director Joel Sideman, Board Counsel Nancy Tribbensee and Secretary to the Board Peggy Martin from the Central Office; and Mr. Bruce Skolnick, Ms. Mary O’Grady and Mr. Jim Walsh from the Attorney General’s Office.

Upon motion by Regent Bulla, seconded by Regent Boice, the Board agreed to recess this meeting and go into Executive Session.

At 2:15 p.m. the Board reconvened the Special Board Meeting.

Upon motion by Regent Stuart, seconded by Regent Calderón, the Board unanimously agreed to seek review of the Court of Appeals decision on the Kromko lawsuit by the Arizona Supreme Court.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:30 p.m.
